Type A
The Type A plug (NEMA 1-15) is an ungrounded 2-pin connector with two flat parallel blades, rated 15A at 125V. It's the standard plug for small appliances and electronics across North America, Central America, and Japan.
Type C
The Type C plug (Europlug, CEE 7/16, EN 50075) is an ungrounded 2-pin connector with round pins 4.0mm in diameter, spaced 19mm apart. Rated up to 2.5A, it's used across most of Europe, South America, and parts of Asia and Africa for small, double-insulated appliances.
Type F (Schuko)
The Type F Schuko plug (CEE 7/4) features two 4.8mm round pins spaced 19mm apart, with dual top and bottom spring grounding contacts rated up to 16A at 230V.
Type G
The Type G plug (BS 1363) is a 3-pin rectangular connector used in the UK and Ireland. It features an internal cartridge fuse (3A, 5A, or 13A) and an elongated earth pin that opens safety shutters inside wall outlets.
Type I
The Type I plug (AS/NZS 3112) is a grounded 3-pin connector with two flat pins angled in a V-shape plus a vertical earth pin, rated 10A for standard household circuits (up to 15A for some circuits). It's the standard in Australia and New Zealand, with a visually similar but separately standardized plug used in China.
